What are participant hours and how are they calculated?
Participant hours represent the total viewing time across all participants. For example, 10 participant hours are used if 10 people watch a 1-hour event, or 20 people watch a 30-minute event.
How does your participant hour-based pricing work?
For the Pay As You Go plan, one participant hour costs €1. You are billed monthly based on actual usage.
For Annual and Enterprise plans, your license includes a custom volume of participant hours tailored to your yearly video needs. Discounted rates apply depending on the volume committed.
Can I add participant hours to my subscription at any time?
Yes. If you’ve used up the participant hours included in your annual license, you can contact us at any time to add more.
Do you offer per-event pricing?
No, we don’t offer per-event pricing.
To use Sparkup for a single event, you can choose the Pay As You Go plan, or contact us to set up an annual license with a participant hour volume tailored to your event.
Are participant hours limited in the annual plan?
No, participant hours are not capped. If you exceed the amount included in your subscription, the extra hours will simply be billed separately.
What happens if I use up all my participant hours during a live event?
No worries — your live session will continue without any interruption. The extra participant hours will simply be billed at the end of the current month.
Are participant hours shared across team members in my annual license?
Yes, the participant hours included in your annual subscription are shared among all team members using your Sparkup account to host live events.
What happens if I don’t use all my participant hours by the end of the year?
Some unused participant hours can be rolled over to the next year.

Do rehearsals and tests before my live event consume participant hours?
Yes, rehearsals and tests also count toward your participant hour usage.
How long are my participant hours valid under my subscription?
Your participant hours are valid for 12 months.
At the end of that period, some hours can be rolled over to the following year, depending on your license type.
